Location
Göcek is a small, deliberately low-rise village on the Gulf of Fethiye, ringed by pine forest and sheltered bays. Despite its size it has six marinas (including D-Marin Göcek, Club Marina and Skopea Marina), making it one of Türkiye’s premier yachting bases.
How to Arrive
- Dalaman Airport (DLM) is only about 25 km away — one of the closest airport-to-marina transfers on the coast.
- The village is compact and walkable; marinas are a short stroll or shuttle apart.
The Marinas
Göcek’s marinas are known for high standards and a quiet, upmarket atmosphere. The village bans high-rise building, so it keeps a village feel — the main draw is stepping straight onto a yacht or gulet for the islands.
Nearby highlights
- The Twelve Islands (On İki Adalar) — a cluster of islets and coves right offshore, the classic day-sail or blue-cruise route.
- Cleopatra’s Bath (Hamam Bay) — submerged ruins in a quiet cove.
- Bedri Rahmi Bay — named for the artist who painted a fish on a rock here.
- Dalyan, Ölüdeniz and Fethiye — all within easy reach for day trips.
Where to eat & drink
Göcek’s marina promenades have polished seafood restaurants and cafés; the village back-streets hide more casual meze and grill spots. It’s a place for a relaxed waterfront dinner rather than nightlife.
Things to do
- Charter a gulet or day boat to the Twelve Islands.
- Swim and snorkel the sheltered coves.
- Browse the small boutiques and galleries in the village.
- Use Göcek as a calm base for exploring the wider Gulf of Fethiye.
